Our Parish Sacraments
Baptism
Baptism is the first and foundational sacrament, where an individual is cleansed of original sin and born anew in Christ. It is the beginning of a lifelong journey of faith, marked by God's grace and love, welcoming us into the community of the Church as beloved children of God.
Holy Eucharist
The Eucharist is the central act of Christian worship, where we receive the Body and Blood of Christ. It nourishes and strengthens our souls, unites us with Christ and one another, and fills us with the grace to live out our faith. In this sacrament, Christ's sacrifice is made present, deepening our communion with God.
Marriage
Matrimony is the sacrament of love, in which a man and woman are united in a sacred covenant before God. It is a lifelong commitment to mutual love, support, and faithfulness. This sacrament reflects the self-giving love Christ has for His Church, and through it, spouses are called to build a family rooted in love, faith, and service to one another and the world.
Confession
Penance, or Reconciliation, is a sacrament of mercy, healing, and forgiveness. Through the confession of sins and the absolution of a priest, we are restored to God's grace. This sacrament helps us to grow in humility and repentance, renews our relationship with God, and grants us peace of heart and mind.
Confirmation
In Confirmation, the Holy Spirit descends upon us, deepening the grace of baptism and strengthening our faith. It empowers us to witness to Christ in the world, boldly live the gospel, and serve the Church. Confirmation calls us to a life of Christian maturity and active participation in the mission of the Church.
Last Rites
This sacrament offers comfort and healing to those who are ill, suffering, or facing the end of life. The anointing with oil and prayers bring spiritual and physical strength, reminding us of God's loving presence in times of weakness. It offers peace, hope, and the grace to face suffering with faith and trust in God’s plan.
